Specialists in Health & Safety Training

FAQs

Which parts of the UK do you cover?

For PASMA and IPAF, we cover the UK. For our comprehensive In House Courses it’s always worthwhile letting us know where you would like the Training.

Which course do I need?

You will have a requirement defined by a stake-holder, which is likely to be your client or internal to your business. If you require clarification regarding our courses just let us know and we will be happy to help.

What are the qualifications / accreditations?

Examples below:

·         PASMA (Mobile Access Towers)

Training is supplied a PASMA registered and approved training centre deliver the nationally recognised PASMA training syllabus for competency in mobile towers.

The “standard” Course is Towers for Users, and there is also Low Level and a Combined Course for the 2.

·         IPAF

Conforming to ISO 18878. Training is delivered by IPAF (International Powered Access Federation)-approved training providers. Successful trainees are awarded the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), the most widely held and recognised proof of quality-assured training for platform operators in the world.

Most courses running are for 3a/3b (Scissor Lifts, Cherry Pickers, Boom Lifts) and there is also 1b for Static Booms.

·         UKATA Asbestos Awareness and Non-Licenced Removal

UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) is the recognised body tasked by the Health and Safety Executive and training is always via a registered member. All certificates issued are UKATA Certificates.

·         In-House Courses

We issue Certificates for many In-House courses. Each Certificate will carry the Delegate Name, Course Title, Date of Training and Expiry, alongside our embossed stamp.

Our Trainers are often trained beyond the minimum requirements via NEBOSH, CITB, BTEC, City and Guilds, UKATA and the Fire Protection Association.

What is the lead time to deliver the Training?

If you have a short lead time we will do everything possible to support you. We work hard to provide the widest set of available dates possible and even when they are booked up we look for additional ways to increase capacity to ensure your project can start on time.

Different times of year vary however it holds true that the longer may have to plan ahead, the more options you will have.

Can you train at our site?

We can, and often deliver courses this way. For PASMA we bring our own Towers and Advanced Guardrails (if you are fairly close to Bristol) for no extra charge.

For IPAF you would need your own machines with LOLER Certificate.

How long have you been supplying Training?

Great timing on this question! We are celebrating 10 Years!

How competitive are you?

We are extremely competitive and will always ensure we aim for that without compromising the quality and integrity of the content we deliver.

Are there extra charges for Certificates and Cards?

We are aware of the practice and no, we believe a quotation should be all inclusive so that’s what we do every single time.

Can you tailor content to our needs?

Where relevant, we can. Obviously a core syllabus needs to be delivered however a great example is with our Sharps and Needlestick training. Not every company is clearing domestic interiors, and environments can and do vary.

Is there an extra charge for that?

Actually there isn’t (don’t give us ideas!)
