    Top Height Training Ltd are a Bristol based health and safety training company who specialise in work at height training in line with the Work at Height regulations 2005. As well as being a PASMA registered training company, we also provide IPAF and UKATA training.

    PASMA Mobile Access Tower Training
    This course is essential for all users of both alloy and fibreglass mobile access towers that are approved to BS EN 1004:2004. It teaches delegates how to safely erect, move, inspect, dismantle, alter and use mobile access towers. The PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association) licence / certification is the most widely recognised qualification for use of all mobile towers. It is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive and satisfies the "Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)" and the "Work at Height Regulations 2005". Train your staff on this essential course before the HSE stop you!

  • Introduction to Mobile Access Towers
  • Overview of relevant Health & Safety Laws and Regulations including the Work at Height Regulations 2005
  • The safe inspection of tower components, what to look for and how to look for it and the PASMA inspection tag.
  • The safe erection (3T method and Advanced guardrail), dismantling, moving, altering and use of a mobile tower
  • Tower stability and Tying-in
  • Hazards and risks associated with towers
  • Keeping yourself properly protected - the correct personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Practical test including assessment
  • Multi choice answer test paper, questions and review
  • IPAF Scissor and Boom Lift (Cherry Picker) Training (MEWPS)
    This internationally recognised qualification teaches delegates to use specific categories of Mobile Elevated Work Platform. This course concentrates on 3a (Mobile Vertical Platform) and 3b (Mobile Boom, articulated or telescopic booms) catagories, but we are also able to supply 1a Static Vertical, 1b Static Boom (Trailer Mounted Boom Nifty 120 or Van Mounted Boom Z20), Trainees will received a Powered Access Licence (PAL) card / licence. In line with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

    UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training
    With the introduction of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, those who deal with materials that contain asbestos must have mandatory training or the HSE may stop you. Specified occupations that may need this training are demolition workers, construction workers, fire and burglar alarm installers, shop fitters, computer installers, general maintenance staff, caretakers, heating and ventilation engineers, carpenters and joiners, plumbers, roofing contractors, plasterers and telecommunication engineers.

    Work at Height Training
    This course is designed to give delegates an understanding and appreciation of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and what these mean for the employee and their employer. The course shows delegates how to plan any work at height, including equipment selection and how to put measures into place to prevent falls. Highly recommended for all those who work at height, and their employers!

    Safety Harness & Lanyards Training
    The aim of this course is to give those who use safety harness and lanyards an understanding of the different types of harnesses and lanyards, their safe selection, use and inspection. It also runs through all the relevant health and safety laws including the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

    Ladders & Steps BMLA Training
    This course is designed for all those who use ladders and steps in the workplace, and the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 are focused upon, as well as the safe use, maintenance and inspection of such access equipment. Highly recommended for all operators who work with ladders and steps, and their employers!

    abrasive Wheels Training
    This course is designed to give delegates an appreciation of abrasive wheel safety as well as an understanding of sound mounting techniques. The course covers angle grinders (with grinding or cutting wheels), cut-off saws and bench cut off saws. Highly recommended for all operators who work with abrasive wheels and their employers. Also covers risk assessments.

    COSHH Training
    This course is intended for all staff who may be exposed to hazardous substances, but will particularly benefit delegates who are involved with the preparation of risk assessments within their work environment. The course will give delegates an understanding of the employers duty under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 2002 to identify substances in the workplace and to assess whether they present a risk to employed persons.

    Manual Handling Training
    More than 25% of all accidents reported to the HSE each year are associated with manual handling resulting in hours of downtime for many companies! This course will help employers comply with The Manual Handling Operations 1992 which state that employers are responsible for ensuring that staff who lift or move loads are trained. The course will help delegates develop an understanding of why correct manual handling is so important, how to identify risks and will offer guidance on how to determine the safest method of handling to avoid injury.

We only use PASMA and IPAF registered trainers for each respective course we run.

    We offer a fast and efficient booking service. We understand that your day to day work can rely on having the correct training; sometimes your work can stop at the drop of a hat if your workers do not have the correct certification. Therefore we aim to provide you with a fast and efficient booking system where all bookings will be confirmed within 48 hours of receipt of your correctly signed booking form and payment.

    We do our best to provide a fast turn-around of certificates Top Height Training knows your delegates need their certification as soon as possible after their training, therefore we offer a letter of confirmation on the day of the training to show the delegates have passed, and we aim to send certification within 3 weeks of the course, as soon as it has been processed and paid for.

    We work flexibly and will tailor any course to your company's needs.
